Lemma 8.9 · The mirror labels \(3k\omega_6^\vee\) and all covered labels

proved audit: minor defect

Minor defect (second audit). Part 1 uses that \(\sigma\) commutes with \(\theta\) as automorphisms of \(G\), but Computation 6.4 establishes this only on \(T\); in general \(\sigma\theta\sigma^{-1}=\mathrm{Int}(t)\circ\theta\). The repair is short: all involutions of \(E_6\) with fixed group \(F_4\) are \(\mathrm{Int}(G)\)-conjugate, so \(\sigma\theta\sigma^{-1}=\mathrm{Int}(g)\theta\,\mathrm{Int}(g)^{-1}\) and \(\sigma':=\mathrm{Int}(g)^{-1}\sigma\) commutes with \(\theta\); \(\sigma'\) still sends \(\cO_{(a,b)}\) to \(\cO_{(b,a)}\), because \(\tau(\cO_\mu)\subseteq L^+Gt^\mu L^+G\) and \(g\in G\subseteq L^+G\). The node's alternative (rerun with nodes \(1\leftrightarrow6\)) is valid as stated; rechecked: in the mirror case there are 8 fixed points over \((0,3k)\), one over \((2,3k-1)\), the orbit bound is 7, and no smaller dominant \(\lambda''\) has \(\varphi(\lambda'')\ge(0,3k)\). Parts 2 and 3 are correct (the uncovered set was recomputed for \(a,b\le16\)).

The labels \(3k\omega_6^\vee\) follow from the theorem for \(3k\omega_1^\vee\) by the diagram symmetry exchanging nodes \(1\) and \(6\), or by rerunning the argument, and every label with a dominant lift has its IC sheaf as a summand by Proposition III, step 6. Together these cover all of \(\Lambda_S^+\).

Lemma 8.9.

  1. For odd \(k\), \(\IC_{3k\omega_6^\vee}\) is a direct summand of \(V_{\omega_1^\vee+\frac{3k-1}2\omega_6^\vee}\ast\IC_0\).
  2. For every \(\mu\in\varphi(\Lambda_T^+)\) and every dominant lift \(\lambda\) of \(\mu\), \(\IC_\mu\) is a direct summand of \(M_\lambda\) (under H3H3 · Constant coefficients: on each orbit the heart consists of finite sums of the constant sheaf. and the decomposition (E2) of Theorem 8.8).
  3. \(\Lambda_S^+\setminus\varphi(\Lambda_T^+)=\{3k\omega_1^\vee,3k\omega_6^\vee:k\text{ odd}\}\). So parts 1, 2 and Theorem 8.8 provide, for every \(\mu\in\Lambda_S^+\), a Satake object of which \(\IC_\mu\) is a direct summand.
  1. Mirror labels. The diagram automorphism \(\sigma\) (\(1\leftrightarrow6\), \(3\leftrightarrow5\)) commutes with \(\theta\) (Computation 6.4), so it acts on \(G\), \(G^\theta\), \(X\), \(LX\) and \(\Gr_G\). It permutes the orbits by \(\cO_{(a,b)}\mapsto\cO_{(b,a)}\) and the Schubert varieties by \(\Gr^{\le\lambda}\mapsto\Gr^{\le\sigma\lambda}\), and it intertwines convolution: \(\sigma^*(V_\lambda\ast\IC_0)\simeq V_{\sigma\lambda}\ast\IC_0\) and \(\sigma^*\IC_{(a,b)}\simeq\IC_{(b,a)}\). Hence Theorem 8.8 transports to part 1. Alternatively, rerun Lemma 8.2–Theorem 8.8 with the roles of nodes \(1\) and \(6\) exchanged (the Levi is then the \(D_5\) on nodes \(1,\dots,5\)); every step is symmetric.
  2. Covered labels. Let \(\lambda\) be a dominant lift of \(\mu\). Proposition III, step 6 (under H3H3 · Constant coefficients: on each orbit the heart consists of finite sums of the constant sheaf.) gives \(a_\mu^*M_\lambda\simeq\bigoplus_{s=1}^{N_\mu}\underline k_{\cO_\mu}[d_s]\) with \(N_\mu>0\), and \(\supp M_\lambda\subseteq\overline{\cO_\mu}\). In the decomposition (E2) only \(\nu=\mu\) meets \(\cO_\mu\), so \(a_\mu^*M_\lambda=\bigoplus_n\underline k[\delta(\mu)-n]\otimes E_{\mu,n}\ne0\). Some \(E_{\mu,n}\) is nonzero, and \(\IC_\mu\) is a summand of \(M_\lambda\).
  3. Completeness. The lemma of section 5 of the family page gives \(\Lambda_S^+\setminus\varphi(\Lambda_T^+)=\{3k\omega_1^\vee,3k\omega_6^\vee:k\text{ odd}\}\); so parts 1, 2 and Theorem 8.8 cover every \(\mu\in\Lambda_S^+\).

The mirror labels 3k omega_6 and all covered labels

(a) \(3k\omega_6^\vee\). The diagram automorphism \(\sigma\) (\(1\leftrightarrow6\), \(3\leftrightarrow5\)) commutes with \(\theta\) (A6-4), so it acts on \(G\), \(G^\theta\), \(X\), \(LX\), \(\mathrm{Gr}_G\), permutes the orbits by \(\mathcal O_{(a,b)}\mapsto\mathcal O_{(b,a)}\), the Schubert varieties by \(\mathrm{Gr}^{\le\lambda}\mapsto\mathrm{Gr}^{\le\sigma\lambda}\), and intertwines the convolution: \(\sigma^*(V_\lambda\ast\mathrm{IC}_0)\simeq V_{\sigma\lambda}\ast\mathrm{IC}_0\), \(\sigma^*\mathrm{IC}_{(a,b)}\simeq\mathrm{IC}_{(b,a)}\). Hence A8-8 transports to: \(\mathrm{IC}_{3k\omega_6^\vee}\) is a summand of \(V_{\omega_1^\vee+\frac{3k-1}2\omega_6^\vee}\ast\mathrm{IC}_0\). Alternatively, rerun A8-2–A8-8 with the roles of nodes 1 and 6 exchanged (the Levi is then the \(D_5\) on nodes 1–5); every step is symmetric.

(b) Covered labels. For \(\mu\in\varphi(\Lambda_T^+)\) pick a dominant lift \(\lambda\); criterion.html Step 6 (under H3) gives \(a_\mu^*M_\lambda\simeq\bigoplus_{s=1}^{N_\mu}\underline k_{\mathcal O_\mu}[d_s]\) with \(N_\mu>0\) and \(\operatorname{supp}M_\lambda\subseteq\overline{\mathcal O_\mu}\). In the decomposition (A2) only \(\nu=\mu\) meets \(\mathcal O_\mu\), so \(a_\mu^*M_\lambda=\bigoplus_n\underline k[\delta(\mu)-n]\otimes E_{\mu,n}\ne0\): some \(E_{\mu,n}\ne0\) and \(\mathrm{IC}_\mu\) is a summand of \(M_\lambda\).

(c) Completeness. By the page's §5 Lemma (F3), \(\Lambda_S^+\setminus\varphi(\Lambda_T^+)=\{3k\omega_1^\vee,3k\omega_6^\vee:k\text{ odd}\}\), so (a), (b) and A8-8 cover every \(\mu\in\Lambda_S^+\).
